Euro Trip...

Well...After a long long time I m back to blogging!! I had been on a vacation to Europe. A good break from same old routine and work. I got a chance to accompany my husband for his on site project to Brussels, Belgium. Not being a frequent traveler, I knew I would have many things to explore in the new country.

All new people, new language, entirely a new experience. The best thing I liked about Europe is the amazing talent of the people in music. Be it the nice gentleman singing soft music with guitar on the town hall street of Brussels, the live rock band in a bar in Brugges or this fellow playing some nice musical instrument in the train at Paris. What makes Europe truly distinguished is the small little restaurants with amazing ambiance and these talented street musicians and singers that make the atmosphere soothing and truly truly enjoyable.

It is always said that one should live in the present - so does it mean forget about past and do not think of future?

Naah, I don't think so...Forgetting about past and not thinking about future cannot lead you to enjoy your present. As very nicely put by Spencer Johnson in his book "The Present" , I believe that by being in present, learning from past and by helping create the future you can enjoy your work and life thoroughly.

It is a book on work and life improvement. The three things that I am listing down here grab the essence of the book.

Be in the PresentWhen you want to be happier and more effective,
Focus on what is right now,
Respond to what is important today.

Learn From the PastWhen you want to make the present better than the past,
Look at what happened in the past,
Learn something valuable from it,
Do things differently today.

Help Create the Future
When you want to make the future better than the present,
Imagine what a wonderful future would look like,
Make a realistic plan,
Do something today to help it happen.
